Hey everyone, we’re absolutely thrilled to announce that Relics of Kenfurm is officially live in early alpha on Itch.io! After countless hours of pixel pushing, world designing and mechanic materialising, we’re finally opening the doors to a world filled with… well, you’ll see.

What You Can Expect

This launch marks the beginning of a very exciting journey. The alpha includes:

Starting Areas: Explore the people of the town, investigate what lies in the clearing beyond, and brave the depths of the Dungeon – your first steps into a world brimming with secrets (and probably some nasty fellows).

Core Gameplay Loop: Accept quests, battle enemies, gather resources, craft equipment, level up your character, and generally try not to die. It’s a classic top-down RPG experience…with comical twists along the way.

Early Alpha Features: This is early alpha! Expect bugs, rough edges, and the occasional game-breaking glitch (we’re working on it!). But we’ve packed in enough content to get you started on your adventure (provided you don’t speed-run…although if you do please post your time, I am curious)

The Weird Factor

We wanted to create something a little different – a bit silly, a bit challenging, and definitely memorable. Expect quirky characters, unexpected encounters, and a healthy dose of (sometimes dark) humour. We’re leaning into the absurd, so don’t be surprised if you meet a talking plant or a blacksmith who just wants to complain about their sore nose (give that one a couple of month to get their story arc going).
